Privacy Policy

This Privacy policy described how and when we, Craftee Fox, collect, use and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services.

1.      Personal information I collect

When you purchase something from Craftee Fox, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, postal address, email address and payment information. This purchase can either be directly from us or through our Etsy shop. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information, for a custom order, for example.

When you browse our website store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. For more information about Etsy’s privacy policy please see here.

2.    The legal base for information collection

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, you are contracting us to fulfil the order.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will ask you directly for your expressed consent.

We may retain information if we are under a legal obligation to do so, or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchase if required by UK tax law.

As necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interest, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services and 2) compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use

3.      Third-party services with whom I may share personal information

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

We engage trusted third parties to perform functions and provides services to my shop, such as delivery companies, for example the Royal Mail. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

4.    The length of time I keep personal information

Data retention

I retain your personal information in order to process your payment and these details are kept within my Etsy shop or Paypal for an unlimited amount of time by these providers. If you would like these details removed please contact Etsy directly, or us regarding Paypal. We will assist in any way possible.

We keep your data regarding certain aspects of your order, such as your postal address on a Royal Mail receipt for seven years as this is required of us for the UK’s Her Majesty’s Customs and Revenue Service (HMRC).

If you have contacted us through Facebook Messenger, your message will be deleted on completion of the order or communication. However, details of the order may be logged to enable future communication, but without your personal details.

5.    If transferring personal information outside of Europe

The only circumstances in which we personally would transfer personal information out of the EEA would be for delivery purposes through trustworthy services, such as the Royal Mail or a courier service.

Etsy, Inc stores personal data in Ireland but on the occasion it does transfer data outside of the EEA it does so using the EU-US Privacy Shield. For more information seehere.

When you click on links on our website, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If our business is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

·        You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

·         If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
