Green Fern tea towel

A beautiful botanicals tea towel to bring the outside in. This green tea towel is covered with large Fern leaf prints in two shades of green, giving the impression of shadows. This tea towel would add colour and nature to any kitchen.

The design of the tea towel started off as a cyanotype (sun-print), where the Fern leaves were placed in the sun on fabric that has been treated with cyanotype. Where the leaves were the fabric stayed the original colour, while the rest went blue. Once the print was made, I digitally designed the pattern using the original prints, and this was printed onto the fabric, here in London. The tea towel is made from cotton/linen mix.  The tea towel has a loop so it can be hung up.
