Cyanotype seaweed print pouch

A dark blue purse that has been designed using the cyanotype process that features a pattern made from seaweed. The seaweed swirls over the purse leaving a beautiful design.

Cyanotype is the process where two chemicals are painted onto the fabric, and once dry the fabric is placed in the sun with items on, in this case a net curtain. Where the fabric is exposed to the sun, the fabric turns blue and where the item is the fabric stays the original colour. The result is dependent on the time left in the sun and how strong the sun is, so you are never quite sure what you will get!

The purse is made from organic fabric, is padded and measures 15cm x 12cm and closes with a zip. Perfect for lots of different items, including money, bank cards and make up.

The purse is handwashable although the strong blue colour will last longer, the less it is washed. The colour made fade overtime - which is all part of the process.
