Cyanotype Leaf print pouch

A dark blue purse that has been designed using the cyanotype process that features a pattern made from Castor Oil leaves, Elderflower and Clematis flowers.

Cyanotype is the process where two chemicals are painted onto the fabric, and once dry the fabric is placed in the sun with items on, in this 

 case a net curtain. Where the fabric is exposed to the sun, the fabric turns blue and where the item is the fabric stays the original colour. The result is dependent on the time left in the sun and how strong the sun is, so you are never quite sure what you will get! These leaves were placed on the fabric, resulting in the unique design on the pouch,

The purse is made from organic fabric, is padded and measures 17cm x 13cm and closes with a zip. Perfect for lots of different items, including money, bank cards and make up.

The purse is handwashable but the less it is washed the longer the dark colours will last. Due to the process, colours made fade over time - adding to the charm of the purse.
